Knowing the Bridal Dress Trends for 2012 will help’s the stylist hair idea’s/consultation

There was a lot of  unique necklines this season, but “most spotted” goes to the illusion style, in which a sheer, delicate, and often embellished layer of fabric veils skin that would otherwise be exposed. (Think of illusion as “strapless, with coverage,” noting its power to transform a sassy, “look at my boobs” situation into something soft, elegant, and romantic.)

London Fashion Week: The Hair, The Makeup, The Trends!

London Fashion Week February 2010

London Fashion Week was a theatrical display, from the dark and disturbing to the bright and whimsical, the mantra seemed to be €˜anything goes.€™ The collections blended high-fashion with a heavy street-chic vibe – from the slogan tee’s and bags, to booties paired with everything, to leggings (yup, they’re still going strong!), to the cropped motorcycle jackets, to the structured blazers. Perhaps inspired by the funky, eccentric style of London’s golden child, Agyness Deyn, the styles spoke to the fashionista who marches to the beat of her own drum.

Adding to the eclectic blend of themes and trends were the bold and funky accessories (most notably the over-the-top head pieces) and dramatic hair and makeup. A crazy little thing like cold weather had no bearing on the shoes- which in included a range of peep-toe booties and open-toe strappy sandals, as well as more fall-friendly styles like boots- from ankle, to knee-length, to thigh-high.

Just like the clothes, the hair and makeup looks spanned from two extremes- some collections featured bare-faced models sporting eternally sexy bed-head coifs, others went to polished glamorous looks achieved with red lips and sleek polished hair, while others went wild for the hair products, teasing the hair to get as much poof as possible and faces so pale with lips so dark, the models almost looked like ghouls. It was all in good fun, and overall, the London shows can best be summed up as wacky, weird, and wonderful.
